Buying a SATA II cable in NYC?
All the pieces for my new desktop comp arrived today, and like an idiot, I totally didn't realize that my new SSD didn't come with a cable or brackets. And I was so hoping to put the whole thing together this weekend...

Anyone know where in the 5 boroughs I might be able to buy a SATA II cable and mounting brackets (for a tower, not a laptop) tomorrow, Saturday?

(This is going to be an internal drive, so I want a drive to motherboard cable, not a drive to USB.)

Usually I would just order online, but I'm leaving for a trip Tuesday morning so if I don't get to build tomorrow I won't be able to until I get back. I tried the BestBuy and PC Richards on 23rd St and both were a bust.

Wow. Well my experience of DataVision was quite different. Not only have I spent hours walking around without noticing any eyes on me, but I successfully returned an item (for store credit). There were definitely female employees, but you may be right that none were salesmen, I sure didn't think to check.

Thank you! I was able to scrounge up a cable from a friend, but I will keep them in mind if I've ever in a bind and can brave the skeevy salesmen.

They seem a bit pricey but they may be the ticket!

Thank you! I was able to scrounge up a cable from a friend, but it's good to know that J & R carries the equipment if I'm ever in a "need something right away" bind.
